JCPenney sluit deze winkels permanent

Tegen het einde van mei vroeg JCPenney om: Hoofdstuk 11 faillissement, aankondigde dat het ongeveer 30 procent van zijn winkels permanent zou sluiten. Sindsdien heeft de retailer al meer dan 150 vestigingen gesloten. Nu is het van plan om tegen eind maart 2021 nog eens 15 winkels te sluiten. VS vandaag rapporten.

De nieuwe winkelsluitingen zullen plaatsvinden in staten in het hele land, waaronder Alabama, Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky en Massachusetts. "Hoewel beslissingen over winkelsluitingen nooit gemakkelijk zijn, is onze strategie voor winkeloptimalisatie bedoeld om JCPenney beter te positioneren om te rijden duurzame, winstgevende groei en omvatte plannen om in 2020 tot 200 winkels gefaseerd te sluiten", aldus het bedrijf in zijn verklaring aan: de outlet.
